After enrolling, quality checks and correction process (where required) are done by enrollment centre supervisors, followed by  data packet consolidation. The Enrollment Agency sends the data to UIDAI data centre. The data is then undergone by various stages of screening and validations in CIDR. This clears that the data source is authenticated besides ensuring that there is no existence of duplicate. Quality checks are also done on demographic, biometric data collected from the residents. The Operator/Supervisor/Introducer/Enrolment Agency and Registrar data in each packet is also validated. After passing the data quality check and other validations, packet goes for de-duplication and a Aadhaar gets generated.
In case of errors in the data, the packet will be on hold. Example if the particulars of the Operator enrolled the resident are found to be inconsistent with database or there is a mismatch in the photo and age/gender (example a child’s photo with age mentioned as 40 years), then the packet will be on hold for later enquiry. Correction actions are taken on that packets, wherever possible, else a rejection letter to re-enroll is dispatched to the resident. Responsibility of printing and delivery of Aadhaar letters is taken by Indian Post. Based on backlog for generation, location of delivery. Indian Post will take 3 to 5 weeks to print and deliver Aadhaar letters.
In case of Aadhaar enrollments through NPR exercise, method of verification is RGI approved LRUR (Local Register of Usual Residents) verification. Aadhaar no. will be issued only after completion of LRUR process which can take much longer than the time prescribed. Residents can verify name of their Registrar at the enrollment centres or on the basis of acknowledgement provided to you at the time of enrollment.
